Former President Barack Obama is regretting now for not giving country star Dolly Parton a Presidential Medal of Freedom during his eight years in office, saying during Stephen Colbert Monday night’s “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert” that it was a “screw up.”

Colbert the host asked Obama how Dolly Parton does not have a Presidential Medal of Freedom after all of her philanthropic commitment.
The country singer, 74, recently donated $1 million to scientists who’re working to develop a coronavirus vaccine.
“That’s a mistake, I’m shocked. That was a screw-up. I’m surprised. I think I assumed that she had already got one, and that was incorrect. She deserves one. I’ll call Biden!” Obama said.
