Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, 64, is reportedly dead after being struck by a hit-and-run driver in New York, police have confirmed.
According to reports, Mr Maraj was walking along a road in Mineola on Long Island at 6:15 p.m. on Friday when he was knocked down by a car that ran away after the incident, Nassau County police revealed.

Mr Maraj was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead on Saturday. Police are inviting any witness to the fatal crash to come forward.
Nicki Minaj, 38, whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj was born in Trinidad and was raised in the New York City borough of Queens.
The rapper has not made any public statement about her father’s sudden death as yet.
A rep for Minaj has not returned SurgeZirc FR request for comment.
