The Duchess of Sussex may have been innocent all along! The two Buckingham Palace employees who accused Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle of bullying have reportedly recanted their accusations.

The news is clearly written in the newly updated biography “Finding Freedom.”

Royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand said that “upon discovery” of a formal complaint by Harry and Meghan’s former communications secretary Jason Knauf, “two of the individuals mentioned in the email asked for any allegations made to HR about their experiences with Meghan to be rescinded” (via “Entertainment Weekly”).

According to a March Times report, Jason Knauf first reported Meghan’s alleged bullying in October 2018 “in an effort to protect staffers,” just days before Harry and Markle’s bombshell tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

“I am very concerned that the Duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year. The treatment of X was totally unacceptable,” the complaint which redacted the employees’ name read.

Jason Knauf reportedly added that “The Duchess seems intent on always having someone in her sights. She is bullying Y and seeking to undermine her confidence. We have had report after report from people who have witnessed unacceptable behaviour towards Y.”

The Times, however, apparently failed to report at the time that the staffers recanted their accusations after learning that Jason had reported the unverified incidents without their permission.

A source alleged to Scobie at Harper’s Bazaar in March, “When it became known to the two individuals, they each asked for the matter to be rescinded and for it to not become an official complaint.”

While representatives for Harry and Meghan previously stated that the couple had no involvement in “Finding Freedom,” the “The Bench” author reportedly admitted to giving both authors personal information.
