French President Emmanuel Macron in a recent video on Twitter confirmed that some doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine will be sent to African countries that are not able to provide enough for their citizens. His move will meet Selena Gomez plea for G7 leaders to support countries with fewer privileges very well.
President Macron had earlier announced that France would release at least 500,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines by mid-June through the Covax device (WHO, Gavi alliance and Cepi coalition).
Speaking in the video, Mr Macron said, “Our most vulnerable populations are gradually being covered, and we will receive more and more vaccines. We have ample means to accelerate our solidarity which involves the donation of doses.”
