Kim Kardashian borrowed a page from Rihanna’s playbook for her latest Skims release: a $108 crotchless cutout catsuit made of see-through black mesh and billed as “the ultimate after-dark staple.”
The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star modelled the daring design on the Skims Instagram account on Wednesday, eliciting a slew of questions and jokes from followers.

“Pete is a lucky man lol,” one social media user commented referring to Kim Kardashian’s boyfriend, “SNL” star Pete Davidson.
“It’s giving quickie,” a second wrote, while others questioned the garment’s functionality outside of the bedroom.

Another user said, “Where do you even wear this?” while another asked, “Can some one [sic] tell me the point of this thing? It looks super uncomfortable.”
While this is Skims’ first open-crotch offering, such sultry styles are a mainstay of Rihanna’s billion-dollar Savage X Fenty brand; in addition to selling breezy-bottomed bodysuits in a variety of fabrics and colours, the Bad Gal recently added pajama pants with butt cutouts to her lineup, much to her fanfare.

Skims, which was founded in 2019 (one year after Savage X Fenty), is now worth several billion dollars.
Following the launch of shapewear or, to use Kardashian’s preferred term, “solutionwear” in a variety of inclusive sizes and colours, the brand expanded to include bras and underwear, sleepwear, loungewear, and other items.

Skims collaborated with Fendi in November for its first high-fashion collaboration, which earned a whopping $1 million in its first minute online.
Now that Kardashian is legally divorced from ex Kanye West (and “really happy” with Davidson, 28), we suspect more sexy-time looks are on the way.
