The Met Ball is supposed to be the biggest night in fashion. We are only wondering if a tabloid sensation, however, steals the show, but Jennifer Lopez is all set.
SurgeZirc FR has learned that J.Lo plans to attend, so the big question for the next few weeks will be whether she and rekindled flame Ben Affleck will make their first red carpet appearance together at the fashionable bash in September.
The couple has had the collective attention of pop culture since they reunited in May after a 17-year separation. However, they have yet to appear as an “official” couple.
Jennifer Lopez attends Vogue’s glitzy gala on a regular basis. Her first appearance was in 2004, when she was dressed by Dolce & Gabbana. She has rarely missed the celebration since then, attending in 2006-2008, 2010, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017-2019.
The event, also known as the “Fashion Oscars,” is normally held in May but was pushed back this year in the hopes that things would return to “normal.” While the event will reportedly be smaller and more intimate this year due to Covid-19, a glittering guest list is beginning to form.
We’ve heard that Anna Wintour favourite Rihanna, whose looks from previous galas, such as a yellow gown by Guo Pei, have become iconic, and actress Lupita Nyong’o have also been mentioned.
This year’s gala will take extra steps in terms of safety. “At this time, all attendees at The Met Gala on September 13 must present confirmation of complete immunization and will be requested to wear masks indoors except while eating or drinking,” a Met spokesperson said on Tuesday while adding that “We’ll keep these standards up to date as needed.”

The invite-only event has apparently sold out, with single seats costing $30,000 and tables costing $275,000, according to our sources.
