What can a singer do when her voice is not intact? Demi Lovato obviously needs some private time to get her voice back before heading out for any concert. That is the whole idea behind the shift of goalposts.

The 30-year-old singer was forced to postpone her Wednesday show from her “Holy Fvck” tour in Rosemont, Illinois as stated in a statement that was shared on Instagram.

“Rosemont, today I woke up and had absolutely no voice. I’m so sorry, but it breaks my heart to tell you I have to reschedule the show. Tickets will be honoured for a new date as soon as it’s announced,”  the statement read.

Demi didn’t wrap up the statement without humbly apologizing to her fans, mostly those who were ready to watch her perform live.

Demi released the statement on her Instagram Story on Wednesday.

“This is the absolute last thing I want to do. I’m having so much fun with you all and I can’t wait to see you again. Again, I’m so sorry and I appreciate your understanding. I love you all,” Demi wrote to her fans.

Rosemont Theater has assured all ticketholders that they would still be able to use their ticket to watch Lovato perform when a new date for the show is announced.

Demi Lovato’s tour was scheduled to continue until November 6, when it will conclude at the Toyota Music Factory in Irving, Texas.

It comes after the singer announced last month in a series of since-deleted Instagram Story posts that the “Holy Fvck” tour would be her final.

“I’m so f—king sick I can’t get out of bed,” Demi Lovato wrote alongside photos that seem to be taken from a hotel room. “I can’t do this anymore. This next tour will be my last. I love and thank you guys.”
