Cardi B turned heads at the Paris Fashion Week on Wednesday as she stepped out in an extravagant Schiaparelli ensemble, wearing a tweed jacket with two strategically placed golden circles at the bust complete with gilded “nipples.”
The 28-year-old “WAP” rapper wore a series of surrealist accessories, including teeth-shaped rings and a chain necklace with charms shaped like eyes and lips.
She completed the look with a sculptural gold headpiece that completely covered the top half of her face.
Cardi B’s husband, Offset, accompanied her on the outing, but he kept things simple in an all-black leather Prada ensemble.
Kollin Carter, the singer’s stylist, posted videos of her outfit on Instagram. “Say you play too much without saying you play too much,” he joked.
Cardi B is far from the only celebrity wearing Schiaparelli’s distinctive designs these days. The celeb-favourite label is responsible for recent fashion hits such as Lizzo’s ear-shaped ear cuffs, Bella Hadid’s lung necklace, Adele’s “teeth” earrings, and Lorde’s gold breastplate.
Cardi B’s week in Paris is off to a stylish start; on Tuesday night, she appeared on the red carpet for the first time since giving birth to her second child, a boy, just three weeks ago.
She was decked out in feathers for the occasion, wearing a sparkling archival Mugler design to celebrate the opening of the new “Thierry Mugler, Couturissime” exhibition at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
