Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand authored the book in 2020. Now, it will be updated and reissued on August 5… the update will include fresh chapters about the Duke and Duchess tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey and Prince Philip’s death.
According to the same report, the new chapters will also discuss the Queen’s decision to take away from them their royal patronages and Prince Harry’s military titles, a news that got him devastated, according to the report.
The update will not be complete without the couple’s life activities in California, America and their private businesses with the likes of Spotify, Netflix and many more.
Speaking to The Sunday Times about the update, a senior courtier said, “The Oprah interview detonated a bomb under the royal family and most of them are still reeling in shock. The book will not help.”
Another senior royal source who spoke to the media outlet about the update asked, “after Oprah, what else is there to say?”
A 2020 November report by Meghan’s lawyers show that she personally contributed some information to the book … her contribution borders on her rift with her father Thomas, but there was no direct contact with the writers.
However, sources close to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex said Meghan and Harry made no contribution to the “Finding Freedom” book, “This book is based on the authors’ own experiences as members of the royal press corps and their own independent reporting,” they said.
