Pop superstar, Britney Spears has unfollowed her younger sister Jamie Lynn on Instagram, according to sources, and the reason is her family’s complicity in the conservatorship drama.
Britney Spears, 40, began the year 2022 by unfollowing her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30. Jamie Lynn appears to still be following the “Stronger” singer, who has been estranged from her family, including mother Lynne Spears and father Jamie Spears, due to the 13-year conservatorship that ended in November.

According to a source close to Britney, the pop star’s social media move against her sister only served to exacerbate the ongoing schism between Britney and her loved ones.
The insider added, “Britney has no plans to reconcile with her sister, mother, or her father at this time and she doesn’t foresee herself having a future with any of them, as they all, directly or indirectly, are responsible for the years of psychological torment that she went through.
“They all allowed this to continue knowing that it was hurting her. She doesn’t see how this will ever be forgivable because, if not for her fans and those who truly love her, she would still be in the conservatorship.”
According to the source, Jamie Lynn’s plans to release her forthcoming memoir, Things I Should Have Said, have “moved forward.” But, according to our source, Britney “doesn’t want to be a part of this narrative” involving her sister’s confession.
“She wants to live her own life and concentrate on herself, her children, and her upcoming wedding to Sam [Asghari].” She is finally in a good place in her life and does not need her family to try to bring her down.”
Another source stated that, following the termination of the conservatorship, Britney is fully focused on moving forward in life, but without Jamie Lynn and her family. “Britney’s life has changed dramatically in the last year, and she believes she has reclaimed her life. She’s married to the man of her dreams, the conservatorship is over, and she’s happy to begin this new chapter.

“But, at this point in her life, she wants to get rid of anything that isn’t contributing to her positivity and a new outlook on life. Britney didn’t want to enter 2022 with any baggage or negativity, so she decided to unfollow her sister was a piece of the puzzle she needed to remove.”
