She believes that society is undergoing a profound revolution in male-female relationships, and Sardou’s dig serves as a swan song for the old ways. “Yes, there are pockets of resistance, and Michel Sardou clearly wants to embody these areas of resistance,” Rousseau remarked with a smile.
She recalled another instance when Sardou stated, “I never vacuum, it’s out of the question. It’s my wife and my cleaning lady.”
Rousseau emphasized that such attitudes are no longer acceptable, as we are now entering an era of equality. She expressed her optimism for this new time, stating, “The time that is coming is a time of equality, and it is much better.”
