During a ceremony at Windsor Castle on Wednesday, Queen Elizabeth inadvertently revealed a never-before-seen photograph of her great-grandchildren.
As she handed over The Queen’s Medal for Music to concert organist Thomas Trotter on Wednesday, royal watchers noticed the family portrait on a table in the background, partially obscured by a handbag.
Fans took note, however, of the 95-year-old Queen Elizabeth’s wide smile in the photo as she holds Princess Charlotte on her lap.

The late Prince Philip appears in the photograph with their great-grandchildren, which include Prince George, Peter Phillips’ daughters Isla and Savannah, and Zara Tindall’s oldest daughter, Mia.
According to People, the photo was most likely taken in late 2016, when Princess Charlotte was about 18 months old and the other royal children were between the ages of two and six.
The Queen was present at the christenings of two of her great-grandsons, 9-month-old August Brooksbank and 8-month-old Lucas Tindall, at All Saints Chapel in Windsor Great Park last month.
Following her recent health scare, which included a brief hospital stay on Oct. 20, the Queen continues to welcome dignitaries.
After being advised to rest for medical reasons, the royal cancelled a trip to Ireland shortly afterwards.
While the specific medical reasons were not disclosed, a spokesperson confirmed that it was not related to COVID-19.
Her Majesty is clearly in a better mood now, saying she is “far better” and “looking forward” to the royal family’s annual Christmas gathering at her Sandringham estate.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not be joining the royals in Europe for the Christmas celebrations. Prince Charles, Camilla Parker Bowles, Prince William, and Kate Middleton, on the other hand, are expected to be there.
