Prince Harry has just accepted a new job as an executive of a Silicon Valley startup company, BetterUp Inc.
The British royal who now lives in California with his family has reportedly confirmed to the Wall Street Journal that he has accepted to become chief impact officer of BetterUp Inc. The company is an online coaching and mental health firm.

Speaking further about the job, Prince Harry told the outlet, “I intend to help create impact in people’s lives. Proactive coaching provides endless possibilities for personal development, increased awareness, and an all-round better life.”
The new may not come as much surprise as Harry, 36, has previously hinted on his plans to work with mental health issues, also considering that his wife, Meghan Markle, revealed during Oprah Winfrey interview that she, at a point, considered suicide while in the royal family.
Prince Harry disclosed that he has been using BetterUp’s app personally and a coach for a couple of months now.
“I was matched with my coach who, quite frankly, is truly awesome and has always given me sound advice and a fresh perspective, which is so valuable,” he told the WSJ.
According to WSJ, BetterUp Boss Alexi Robichaux declined a request to reveal details of Prince Harry’s contract agreement neither did he opened up on how he was getting compensated.
In response to the question on Harris benefit, Robichaux only said, “it’s a meaningful and meaty role. He’s synonymous with this approach of mental fitness and really investing in yourself,” Robichaux said while noting that “It was not a hard internal sale.”
Speaking on the task ahead of the British prince at the company, Robichaux said, “Harry is expected to have input into initiatives including product strategy decisions and charitable contributions.

“He will advocate publicly on topics related to mental health. He is also expected to spend time in the company’s San Francisco headquarters, attend all-hands meetings and be a special guest at company events.”
