Kylie Jenner may not have attended the 2022 Met Gala with her boyfriend Travis Scott, but she still looked stunning at the fashion event.
And, while posting some behind-the-scenes photos on Instagram on Tuesday, the beauty mogul revealed why she chose an Off-White wedding gown for the red carpet: It was intended to pay homage to the brand’s founder, Virgil Abloh, who died in November 2021 at the age of 41.

“Virgil and I were supposed to go to the Met together before it got postponed in 2020,” Jenner, 24, wrote in her caption.
“To celebrate V tonight and his incredible legacy truly means the world to me. i’m humbled to wear this dress and honour my talented beautiful friend. we felt you tonight Virgil and love you forever. & thank u to the entire @off____white team!”
The 24-year-old reality star wore a dramatic ruffled skirt and a draped bodice over an Off-White mesh T-shirt. Kylie is accessorized with a veil attached to a baseball hat worn backwards.
The label’s fall 2022 show – Abloh’s final collection – ended with a similar look.
Kylie Jenner changed into a slinky silk slip with a corseted bodice and sheer sleeves for the afterparty circuit, which was also equally wedding-worthy Off-White.
“Married to the met,” she captioned photos of herself wearing the outfit.
For years, Jenner and Scott, 31, have been the subject of marriage rumours. Jenner sparked new engagement rumours in March when she shared a photo of her French-manicured hand with two dazzling diamond rings.
The couple has been dating on and off since 2017, and they have two children: Stormi, 4, and a 3-month-old son whose name they have yet to reveal. (The infant was previously named Wolf, but the parents changed their minds.)
This was the first year that all of the Kardashian-Jenner sisters attended the Met Gala together, and they marked the occasion by taking numerous family photos at the event.
Even though it wasn’t a wedding, it appears that fashion’s biggest night was enjoyable for the entire family.
