Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden said he’s not joining President Donald Trump in a second debate scheduled for Oct. 15, if he’s still infected with the deadly coronavirus.

“I think if he still has the COVID, we shouldn’t be having a debate,” Joe Biden told the press at a conference in Maryland while adding that he would base his participation on the recommendations of medical experts.

“I think we’re going to have to follow very strict guidelines. Too many people have been infected and it is a very serious problem,” the former vice president said, possibly referring to the high rate of infection among the Republicans during the presentation ceremony of judge Amy Coney Barrett

Joe Biden, however, hinted that he was looking forward to the second debate scheduled to hold in Miami, but would appreciate seeing all necessary protocols followed, “I look forward to being able to debate with him. But I just hope that all the protocols will be followed, which is necessary at the moment,” he said.

Although, Mike Pence and Kamala Harris VP debate revealed that new rules are already in place, like the prohibition to cut off the speaker and from health stands the separation of candidates by a transparent plastic wall
