After threats from LFI MP Thomas Portes, who recently pledged to take care of an RN elected official, it is time for his colleague Sébastien Delogu to make his presence known in the National Assembly.

The Insoumis verbally harassed Aurore Bergé on Tuesday, right after she decried anti-Semitic violence in Amsterdam the previous week. “You are a big piece of trash,” he allegedly said, according to numerous left-wing parliamentary sources.

Sébastien Delogu denied saying these words to Le Figaro. And these were not heard by the editors of the National Assembly, who for their part retain, “You are going to end up in the trash, the trash of History.”

The Insoumis MP later said, looking at the Macronist benches: “What’s wrong?” It was claimed that the statement was made in a harsh tone.

The former Solidarity Minister had, among other things, slammed Mélenchonist recent behaviour.

“Where is our common humanity when deputies who sit here place targets on the backs of our Jewish compatriots?” she asked, looking at the LFI benches.

The Controversial X Post

Here is the controversial tweet by Insoumise deputy Marie Mesmeur this weekend, shared on X (former Tweet), “These people were not lynched because they were Jewish, but because they were racist and supported genocide.”

The comments immediately moved the Minister of the Interior, Bruno Retailleau, to announce that he had reported them to the Paris prosecutor for an “apology for crime.”

Just a few seconds after Sébastien Delogu’s gaffe, the Minister of the Interior responded correctly to a question from Aurore Bergé on the events in Amsterdam, regretting “the return” of “the most unbridled and uninhibited anti-Semitism” before mentioning “all those who exploit the Palestinian cause for purely political ends”.
