The health pass will be required to continue playing football in a club, according to the French Football Federation (FFF), which announced the start of national amateur championships in August this Saturday, July 31.

The authority plans a re-entry “in September” for the regional and departmental championships, which were halted last season in October because of the covid-19 outbreak.
“The application of the health pass from the first training sessions and matches of the season makes this predicted recovery possible,” the French Football Federation noted.
“The health pass will be required to be able to play football and access the changing rooms and stands before each training session or each competitive match”, she said.
The FFF has set September 30 as the start date for the adoption of the health pass for young players aged 12 to 17. Children under the age of 12 are reportedly not required to pay.
“We are aware that the health pass is an additional constraint for our licensees and our clubs. But this measure appears today as the safest solution to resume football while protecting our practitioners as well as possible. Their health is our priority,” the president of the French Football Federation, Noël Le Graët, quoted in the press release.
Since July 21, the permit has been required at places of leisure and culture (cinemas, museums, etc.) where more than 50 people congregate.

In August, it should be extended to coffee shops, fairs and exhibitions, airlines, trains, and long-distance coaches, as well as medical facilities.
