Boris Johnson – The British government is eager to respond and reach a decision as soon as possible on a long-awaited report on parties organized during confinement at Downing Street, the British Prime Minister’s residence and offices, concluded that there were “errors of leadership and judgment” in what became known as “PartyGate.”

Sue Gray’s report had been expected for several days, but its publication was thwarted by a police investigation launched last week, with police requesting that her details not jeopardize the police investigation.
“There have been errors in leadership and judgment by different parts of Downing Street and the Cabinet Office at different times. Some events should not have been allowed. Other events should not have unfolded as they did,” writes Sue Gray, whose 12-page report focused on 12 events between May 2020 and April 2021 was handed to Boris Johnson Monday.
Twelve of these encounters have been identified as the subject of a police investigation. In addition, the report identifies “inappropriate excessive alcohol consumption” in the workplace.
Boris who has always maintained that he has done nothing illegal apologized to MPs mid-afternoon on Monday. However, when confronted with the scandal of these drunken parties, which were denounced within his own party, he affirmed that he would not resign, earning him the label of “shameless man” by the leader of the Labour opposition, Keir Starmer.
“I’m sorry for the things we just didn’t do right, and also sorry for the way the subject was handled,” Boris Johnson told MPs, adding that he “understand, and I will fix it,” and, promised administrative changes in the management of Downing Street affairs.

The Prime Minister assured the MPs that his government remained trustworthy, citing its post-Brexit achievements, the success of the coronavirus vaccination campaign, and its response to the Ukrainian crisis.
“I’m going to get down to business,” he said.
