Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle celebrated their 3rd wedding anniversary on Wednesday, May, 19, and there were no messages from members of the British royal family, not even Prince William.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Harry’s father Prince Charles did not celebrate the Sussexes on their anniversary. Prince William and Kate Middleton also didn’t congratulate the Duke and Duchess of Sussex even though they posted messages to Prince William and Kate Middleton on their 10th wedding anniversary in April.
On Wednesday, the Queen announced that her granddaughter Princess Beatrice is pregnant with her first child, while Prince William and Kate Middleton revealed plans for their next royal tour.
Prince Charles shared photos from his trip to Northern Ireland with his wife Camilla Parker Bowles and never mentioned his second son’s third anniversary.
It may not come as a surprise to Harry and Meghan that Charles snubbed them as he, earlier this month made a video announcement beside a framed photo of himself, the Queen, William and his grandson Prince George.
Prince Harry and his father have had a strained relationship ever since the Duke of Sussex found reasons enough to move his family to the United State where he’s now living a personal life.
Harry told Oprah Winfrey during his tell-all interview in March that Prince Charles had stopped taking his calls. Most recently, the Duke of Sussex blasted Charles’ parenting in an interview that aired on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast.
“He treated me the way he was treated,” Harry said during the interview.
Following Buckingham Palace announcement of Beatrice’s pregnancy, royal expert claimed doing so was intended to spite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
A source said, “They stole Eugenie’s thunder on her big day, after all, and it appears that has not been forgotten,” reffering to Harry and Meghan announcing at Beatrice’s sister Princess Eugenie’s October 2018 wedding that they were expecting their son Archie.
