The Taliban On Sunday captured Kabul, the Afghanistan capital, and President Ashraf Ghani fled the country for his life.

Images of the Taliban leaders storming the presidential palace and citizens being flown to the airport have since gone viral as President Joe Biden administration come under attack for doing little or nothing to tame the situation.

In France, the army has been deployed to evacuate French nationals and Afghanistan who “have helped us on a daily basis,” according to Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly, who is acting on the orders of President Emmanuel Macron.

Afghanistan citizens are being granted visas in order to flee the country. The minister stated that she was doing everything she could to “protect personalities who have defended human rights, journalists, artists, and all those who are committed to these values that we continue to defend all over the world.”

On Monday, August 16, a Defense Council will be convened. The virtual meeting will be chaired by President Macron from Fort Brégançon. The essence of the meeting is to discuss “the crisis situation that directly affects our country because we have nationals on the territory.” President Macron said.
