Kim Kardashian isn’t done with her law ambitions yet as the reality show star recently says that she dreams of setting up a successful law firm one day.
Kim Kardashian has stated that she has “never worked so hard” in her life to pass the California “baby bar” exam in December 2021. She told Vogue Hong Kong in her April 2022 cover story that was published on Friday, that “I dream of one day creating a successful law firm.”
“I had to be really diligent about studying and dedicated every spare minute I had to it. I’m very passionate about criminal justice reform, and I want to advocate for those who I feel they were wrongfully convicted,” she told Vogue.
The Skims founder also discussed how her late father, Robert Kardashian, a successful lawyer who worked on O.J. Simpson’s “Dream Team” in 1995, inspired her to pursue a career in law.
Kim said, “Spending time with my father at his office definitely influenced me. Doing this work has been in my soul for years, and I’m so proud that I’m now doing this work.”
Kim went on to say that her desire to become a lawyer was always in the back of her mind, even when she was just starting out on “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
“When I look back at old interviews when people asked what I wanted to do if I wasn’t filming ‘KUWTK,’ I always said I wanted to be a crime scene investigator or an attorney.
Being in this line of work has definitely made me feel closer to my dad, and to know that I’m helping people feels really good at the end of the day,” she said.
Kim Kardashian passed the “baby bar,” also known as the First-Year Law Students’ Examination, after three attempts.
“This wasn’t easy or handed to me. I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got back up each time and studied harder and tried again until I did it!!!” Kim shared on Instagram in December after finally passing.
“I was told by top lawyers that this was a close to impossible journey and harder than the traditional law school route, but it was my only option and it feels soooo good to be here and on my way to achieving my goals,” she added.
Kim has been an outspoken supporter of prison reform, even meeting with former President Donald Trump in 2018 to discuss criminal justice issues.
Kim has recently been dealing with her own legal issues as a result of her divorce from Kanye West. She filed for divorce in February 2021, and she was declared legally single earlier this month.
She began dating “Saturday Night Live” star Pete Davidson last fall, who got a tattoo that reads, “My girl is a lawyer.”
