Hot Milf Summer is the title. It was named after Megan Thee Stallion’s song Hot Girl Summer, a name that now refers to a summer trend of living life without regret and discovering oneself as a woman.
The Icelandic rappers’ words are not far off, but they allude to motherhood. “The song is a hymn written by sexy mothers for sexy mothers, but also for those who love mothers in general,” the nine members of the rap collective said in a statement relayed by the media.
Four of the women in the group had their first child recently. That’s what sparked the idea for this song, and you can watch the music video for it below.
This video is not for the faint of heart. It is a way of “exploring the duality of motherhood, which oscillates between madonna and whore, and how these dualities coexist,” according to Daughters of Reykjavik.
