Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Success, is losing her job as Patron to Camilla Parker Bowles, her stepmother-in-law.
The director of the prestigious National Theater announced on Friday that Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, who is married to Prince Charles, will take over as Patron, a position previously held by Meghan Markle.

It’s the first time one of Meghan’s patronages has been passed on to a member of the royal family.
“The Duchess shares our belief that theatre enriches our lives in so many ways and that everyone should have access to the arts and creativity no matter where they are in the world.

“The Duchess has shown great support to our industry throughout the pandemic, and I look forward to working with Her Royal Highness for many years to come,” Rufus Norris, the Theater’s director, said in a statement.
The National Theater issued a statement in February confirming the former “Suits” star’s departure and thanking her for her contributions.

Meghan Markle still has two other patronages: Smart Works Charity, which helps women dress and prepare for job interviews, and Mayhew, an animal welfare organization. And it appears she isn’t the only one who is being fired.
Prince Harry resigned as Patron of the Rugby Football League and the Rugby Football Union. Kate Middleton, a lifelong rugby fan, has taken over as his sister-in-law.
