Selena Gomez’s bipolar disorder may cost her more than she’s gone through already as reports are suggesting that the medications she is taking now to get better may prevent her from having children in the future.
“That’s a very big, big present thing in my life,” the actress, 30, told Rolling Stone for her December 2022 cover story that was published Thursday, “However I’m meant to have them, I will.”

Selena Gomez was prescribed numerous drugs following a psychotic episode and bipolar illness diagnosis in 2018, but two were discontinued by her physician for some obvious reasons.
Selena also told the outlet, “I had to detox, essentially, from the medications I was on. I had to learn how to remember certain words. I would forget where I was when we were talking.”

Selena who has been honest about her mental health ahead of the premiere of her documentary “Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me” on Friday, also discussed feeling “gone” before detoxing.
“There was no part of me that was there anymore,” she said. Meanwhile, the singer stated two months ago that she would love to get married and bear children.

“I hope to be married and to be a mom,” she said in August.
Selena celebrated her birthday during the summer with a wedding-themed event because she “thought” she’d married by now.
“I grew up thinking I would be married at 25,” Selena told Rolling Stone while adding that “it wrecked me that I was nowhere near that — couldn’t be farther from it. It was so stupid, but I really thought my world was over.”
