Britney Spears has inked a lucrative book deal worth up to $15 million in a new contract.
According to publishing insiders, Spears, 40, has signed a landmark deal with Simon & Schuster for her tell-all memoir about her career, her “Toxic” life, and her family.
According to one insider, the deal came after a bidding war between multiple publishers over her book, and “the deal is one of the biggest of all time, behind the Obamas.”

The rights to Barack and Michelle Obama’s books were reportedly sold for more than $60 million in 2017, the highest ever known figure for nonfiction books. In 2001, Bill Clinton received a $15 million deal for his post-presidential memoir “My Life.”
Spears has been planning a memoir since she was enraged by the claims made in her younger sister Jamie Lynn’s scathing tome, “Things I Should Have Said,” which was published in January of this year.

Jamie Lynn in her newly released book described a time when Britney Spears took a knife, locked them both in a room and said, “Baby, I’m scared.” However, the singer rubbished the claim, saying it never happened.
“I’ve never been around you ever with a knife or even would I ever even think to do such…only a scum person would make up such things about someone,” Britney later tweeted and opined that she “should’ve slapped” her younger sister and her mom, Lynne, “across their f***ing faces.”
Britney also stated on Instagram that she had a vault of stories about relatives who stood by while she endured the gruelling conditions of a 13-year conservatorship. “Lord, have mercy on the souls of my family if I ever do an interview.”

After the singer’s notorious conservatorship came to an end after 13 years in November, she has been the subject of a number of documentaries, many of which she has criticized, that have focused on her legal battles and bids for freedom.

Britney had recently hinted that she’s ready to start writing a book that will reveal everything she went through. In early January, she posted a photo of an old-school typewriter and asked, “Shall I start from THE BEGINNING???”
The popstar also hinted earlier this month that she is working on her first music project in five years after being released from her conservatory. She captioned a video of herself dancing, “This is a tease of what’s to come!!!!”
