The former first lady’s team released a promotional video on Monday, and the video shows a number of celebrities asking the question “Are you ready?” and encouraging viewers to join them in preparing for the upcoming midterm elections.

The video featured the new co-chairs as well as other celebrities such as Tom Hanks, Selena Gomez, Lin-Manuel Miranda, and Kerry Washington, all of whom are already co-chairs of “When We All Vote,” asking if people are ready to vote.

“Are you prepared for the midterms?” Michelle Obama asked and encouraged viewers to text a number to receive updates on actions they can take to ensure they’re registered to vote and to help encourage others to do the same in the video.

The organization explained in a press release that celebrity co-chairs use their platform to help “When We All Vote” achieve its goals of getting people to the polls and closing age and race gaps among voters.

Mrs Obama shared the video post with a caption that urged people to fight unfair voting laws. “[T]he last few years, state legislatures across the country have passed laws making it more difficult for people to vote.”

She wrote, “Those who want to stymie our progress want us to remain silent and stop paying attention. However, it does not have to be this way. We can change the culture of voting and combat voter suppression with your help.”
