Taylor Swift has just been added to the cast for the yet-to-be-titled movie coming from the “American Hustle” director David O. Russell, according to a report by Collider reported on Tuesday.
For now, the movie is gathering many superstars on its cast list, but there is still little info available about the movie, aside from knowing that it’s coming from director David O. Russell and keeps gathering A-list stars, even the plot is not known yet.
Taylor Swift, according to the report is the most recent superstar to join the cast of the director’s movie. She is joining Margot Robbie, Christian Bale, Andrea Riseborough, John David Washington, Alessandro Nivola, Zoe Saldana, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Michael Shannon, Timothy Olyphant, Rami Malek, Matthias Schoenaerts and Robert De Niro.
The news that Taylor is joining the cast list was first reported by Instagram celebrity gossip account Deuxmoi, and it was later supported by 20th Century Studios and New Regency, Collider reported. There was no release date stated anywhere for the movie.
Director David’s last movie was his 2015 biographical drama, titled “Joy,” which starred Jennifer Lawrence and Robert De Niro where they told the story of a TV entrepreneur.
Taylor, a multiple Grammy Award winner, recently graced the silver screen in the much-maligned 2019 live-action adaptation of the stage musical “Cats” as Bombalurina, a feline femme fatale.
Taylor Swift also featured in two 2020 documentaries, Netflix’s take on her life, “Miss Americana,” and “Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Sessions,” which she both directed and produced.
In May, a sequined crop top-clad Swift met “Driver’s License” singer Olivia Rodrigo in person at the BRIT Awards — much to fans’ delight.
Then in April, after the release of her re-recording of her existing Grammy-winning 2008 album “Fearless,” Taylor released a slew of new merchandise offerings including a “Capture It, Remember It” vault key necklace.
