World most expensive actor Dwayne “The Rock,” Johnson has recalled that people often thought he was a little girl when he was growing up.
The former wrestler, who is celebrating his 49th birthday today May 2, said people were often confused by his “soft features” as a little child, and would ask if he was a girl or a boy.
“I would say between the ages of 7 and 11, people thought that I was a little girl because I had really soft features and I had really soft Afro hair,” Johnson, who is black and Samoan, said on “Sunday Today with Willie Geist.”
The Rock who’s the son of pro wrestler Rocky Johnson was hardly stable in one school that he went to 13 schools by the time he got to high school. The “Jumanji” star described one particular moment as a memorable one on the school bus … that was his first day of fifth grade.
Dwayne said, “I sit down next to a kid, and within 60 seconds, he goes, ‘Can I ask you something?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He goes, ‘Are you a boy or a girl?’”
The Rock who recently paid $27.8 million for a Beverly Hills estate has been rumoured to be nursing presidential ambition and has also talked about it himself … saying if the people want him to run, he will.
Last month, a poll of over 30,000 Americans conducted by Piplsay found that 46 per cent of participants would consider voting for the Hollywood big name for president.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson tweeted after the poll result “Not sure our Founding Fathers ever envisioned a six-four, bald, tattooed, half-Black, half-Samoan, tequila drinking, pick up truck driving, fanny pack-wearing guy joining their club.”
He added… “But if it ever happens it’d be my honour to serve the people.”
