Kylie Jenner isn’t disturbed by the criticism flying around about her after she encouraged her followers to donate to fund a makeup artist’s medical bills for as long as she knows she’s clean to the allegation as the wealthy makeup businesswoman recently lent her sister Kendall Jenner her $72-million private jet for a trip to New York.
Kylie came under attack on Twitter over the weekend after encouraging fans to donate to an online GoFundMe for celebrity makeup artist Samuel Rauda.
Kylie’s supermodel sister Kendall took the makeup pro’s private jet from California to New York this weekend, at an estimated cost of $50,000. Kylie Jenner purchased the Global Express jet last year.
“Kendall arrived on Kylie’s private jet on Saturday, then the plane went back to LA on Sunday evening. Kendall stayed on in New York. Maybe she could have stayed home and instead donated that money to Kylie’s makeup artist,” a source said.
The 23-year-old makeup mogul shared a post about Rauda who “underwent major surgery” after an accident on March 14 on social media in a move to help raise awareness and eventually pay for his medical bills, since Rauda is a close friend of her current makeup artist Ariel Tejada.
Fans saw the reality star’s request from a different perspective considering that Kylie is super-rich and could pay off the medical bill without stress if she so cared. Kylie is worth an estimated $900 million.
A Twitter user commented, “Why is kylie jenner asking for donations to fund her makeup artist’s surgery when she’s a billionaire.” Another wrote, “If I was as rich as Kylie Jenner I simply wouldn’t ask ppl on the internet to donate for my best friend’s brain surgery but we all built different i guess!”
“How come Kylie Jenner isn’t paying her makeup artist enough to afford a 60k surgery? That’s the real question. Her business is makeup. He’s her makeup artist! He’s not bringing in millions?!?” someone else asked.
However, as of Monday, more than $99,000 has been donated to the account with a goal of $120,000. But someone else backed Kylie, saying that the GoFundMe had been created by another friend of Rauda, and the reality star both donated her own money and raised awareness on social media.
Clarifying what actually happened, a source said Kylie didn’t become aware of Rauda’s request for financial help on GoFundMe until $6,000 of the original $10,000 goal had already been raised, and she then donated $5,000 of her own cash.
