Tennis pro, Serena Williams and her 3-year-old daughter Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr are the stars of Stuart Weitzman’s new “Footstep to Follow” campaign, for which they both modelled matching mommy-and-me catsuits.
The mom and daughter form-fitting ‘fits were likely a nod to the athlete’s signature on-court catsuit, which we first saw at the 2018 French Open after she gave birth to Olympia.
Serena Williams has since reprised the design by at a point mixing it up with a one-legged version at the 2021 Australian Open.
“I would definitely call Olympia my mini-me. She is mini Serena,” The plenty times tennis champion said in a video that was released for the cute campaign.
After modelling their sleek unitards with matching cheetah-print sandals ($450), the tennis champion with her daughter also twinned in white sweater dresses, with Williams in the brand’s “Norah” boot ($495).
While the pair is famous for coordinating their accessories and sharing clothes, the heartwarming photoshoot marks their first fashion modelling together.
“I don’t know if I hope if Olympia follows in my footsteps. I want her to do whatever she wants to do and what’s best for her,” Williams said in the video.
Serena Williams daughter is already playing tennis as a toddler, but we aren’t sure if she’ll play professionally as her mom did and of course, if she will bring home trophies.
