On Sunday, Brittany Matthews, the fiancée of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, shared the news of the birth of the couple’s first child, a baby girl named Sterling.

“Sterling Skye Mahomes,” Brittany posted to Instagram, noting the couple’s bundle of joy was born Saturday and weighs 6 lbs., 11 oz.
In a photo shared on her page, Matthews is seen wearing a “Sterling” necklace while giving a glimpse of her newborn daughter’s hand. Mahomes, 25, also posted the same image.
Ahead of Sterling’s birth, Matthews shared photos from her maternity shoot with Mahomes.
“My King,” she gushed on Instagram at the time.
Matthews, a certified personal trainer, announced her pregnancy in September, the same month she and Mahomes got engaged.
“Mom & Dad, taking a small detour to the wedding,” Matthews posted to Instagram at the time.
