Meghan Markle, Prince Harry and their son Archie aren’t travelling to the UK for the Christmas holiday, at least now that their legal matter has been postponed until next fall on mummy Archie’s request.
The initial plan was to have the Duke and Duchess of Sussex head to the UK in December with Archie who’s already 17-months-old, ahead of Meghan’s privacy legal matter scheduled for January 2021, according to the Sunday Times’ report.
Meghan and Harry were able to trash the travel plan after a judge consent to the Duchess of Sussex’s request to move the court case until next fall for a personal reason that wasn’t immediately disclosed to anyone.
A spokesperson for the couple told the outlet that, “It is unlikely the Duke and Duchess will be travelling before the end of the year because the focus had been the trial in January. As that is no longer happening, there are no plans to travel at the moment, but any travel plans will be kept under review.”
It’s understood that the decision not to join the British royal family by Meghan and Harry will be mostly felt by Queen Elizabeth II who’s currently 94-years-old, and the Duke of Edinburgh, 99-years-old as they have not seen their youngest great-grandson for almost a year.
Upon deciding to back off as active senior royals, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex took their son Archie to Canada last November for a temporary break from their duties but didn’t return with him when they visited the UK again.
