You might not be in trouble completely if you’re found outside by 9 p.m. as some rules have been announced to relax the curfew which was announced by President Macron in a move to control the spread of the coronavirus.
The rules announced by the French Prime Minister Jean Castex will allow residents to move around during the curfew hours of 9 pm to 6 am. Castex gave the details of the rules during a press conference recently.
The Prime Minister announced the following rules as an exemption for being outside during the curfew while stating that “Some trips will remain authorized for health reasons, to go to the hospital or to buy drugs in a pharmacy on duty.”
1. If you have to provide assistance to a loved one in danger or in a situation of dependency
2. If you work evening or night
3. If you take a train or a plane arriving after 9 p.m.
4. To take your pet out – If you are facing a medical emergency

“If you work nights or your job doesn’t allow you to be home at 9 p.m. If you have a train or plane arriving or departing after 9 p.m., you may need to be able to show your ticket. If you have to go to a loved one in a situation of dependency, to take your pet out near you, as during the period of confinement,” said the PM.
Speaking after the Prime Minister Gérald Darmanin Minister of the Interior said the exit certificate could be “printed” or “downloaded” on a smartphone. Workers will need a digital or paper certificate, but also proof of your company or your professional card when you are a liberal nurse or journalist, for example”, also specified the Minister of Interior.
